Kendra E. Wendt, MHA, BS, RN, Lead Designer

Building, designing, and decorating are in Kendra Wendt’s genes. Growing up, she watched her parents work on their side business, designing, building, and selling homes, and developed a true passion for the industry. Now, she is a co-owner and interior designer of the BriKen Design Group by Decorating Den Interiors.

For 30 years, Kendra was a Registered Nurse helping patients in their homes. In 2005, she obtained her Master of Healthcare Administration and held various leadership roles in Corporate America. She also led a team of over 150 RNs in the Biotechnology space, which requires an enormous amount of detail and precision, for over a decade.

Eventually, she combined her exceptional leadership skills and entrepreneurial drive with her passion for design. Before moving to Arizona, Kendra owned a Christmas decorating franchise and was awarded “Franchise of the Year (2000)” out of 300 owners. She also served on the advisory board for this national franchise.

Kendra says, “All my life, I have been told I should be an interior designer because I have such a gift with design and colors. I cannot wait to use my attention to detail skills and share my gifts of creativity to help you design your personalized dream space.”

Brian W. Bloomfield, PE, GC, Lead Designer

Brian Bloomfield is a co-owner and lead designer at the BriKen Design Group by Decorating Den Interiors. From a young age, Brian was influenced by his father, a practicing Architect in Colorado and Wisconsin. One of his earliest memories is “helping” his father build a family house and catching the unforgettable scent of fresh sawdust as carpenters framed the structure. At just five years old, this experience ignited a lifelong passion for design and building and led to him becoming a registered professional engineer.

Through years of collaboration with his father, other engineers, contractors, and designers in the luxury custom home industry, Brian gained invaluable insights into the multifaceted nature of successful projects. He also spent 15 years in the corporate world, excelling as a lead engineer in an electronics manufacturing organization. Despite his success, it was clear his true calling remained in design, building, and construction.

For the past 20 years, Brian has worked on residential project solutions as a general contractor in Scottsdale, Arizona at Bloomfield Builders LLC. He and his team take pride in their close collaboration with each client, working tirelessly to craft high-quality, personalized solutions that bring their unique visions to life.

Through his contracting business, Brian observed clients consistently grappling with challenges regarding the interior design and furnishings aspects of their projects. Recognizing this as an issue, he strategically expanded the business to include interior design services.
